Talaria 40 sleeps two comfortably forward in a v-berth arrangement and includes a Head with separate enclosed shower stall, and full Galley. There is lounge seating and a settee table that can drop down to create an extra berth in the Pilothouse area. Additional seating is in the Cockpit.
Hinckley DualGuard® composite construction of the hull is Kevlar E-glass hybrid and balsa core, SCRIMPed with vinylester resin. Deck and cockpit are E-glass and balsa core, molded with polyester resin. The deck and cockpit sole have a molded-in nonskid pattern. All Forespar Marelon seacocks.
Swim Platform: Aft, the heavy duty fiberglass swim platform has teak insert treads, stainless steel bracket and half round, and a stainless steel telescoping 3-step folding swim ladder. DECK FEATURES:
Seating: A forward-facing cushioned transom settee is to port of the transom door to the swim platform. Additional seating facing aft is built in to the port and starboard engine boxes that are topped with varnished teak and separate the cockpit from the pilothouse. The cushioned bottom and back seats are finished in a Ralph Lauren nautical navy fabric (new 2015). The engine boxes are hinged and have hydraulic lift to give easy access to the engines. There are (port and starboard) removable boarding steps. They are teak step pads with Stainless steel frame that mounts inside the coaming. The cockpit sole has a molded-in nonskid surface and direct overboard drainage scuppers.
Hinged transom door in molded frame is to starboard and offers access to the cockpit or to the heavy-duty fiberglass swim platform that has a heavy duty stainless steel folding ladder.
The Pilothouse dash and upper cabin house sides are finished in varnished teak. There is a teak locking companionway door. A varnished teak handrail is on the aft end of the pilothouse.
Forward are Stidd helm and passenger seats, cushions covered in navy Ultraleather. These seats can adjust fore/aft and swivel to face aft. There are stainless steel footrests and polished chrome pedestal bases. The forward port 2nd helm/passenger area has a cup holder on the forward bulkhead. The AC/DC electrical panel is outboard and a custom 110 volt outlet is nearby. Aft Pilothouse: Pilothouse aft has additional seating with two (2) curved settees, each with a varnished teak shelf rim outboard that faces the pilothouse table. To port, the settee can convert to a berth with drop-down table conversion. There is stowage beneath the settee.
The Iinterior is finished in satin-varnished cherry, including forward v-berth hull sheathing and the soft insulated overhead is white with cherry trim. The cabin sole is varnished teak & tulipwood and has a custom cabin sole cover. All cabin locker doors are louvered with radius corners on the frames. Amenities include:
SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS Sleeps two forward in V-BERTH with adapter cushion to form a double berth.
Aft of the V-berth to port is a cushioned seat. Outboard is a cedar-lined hanging locker with a shelf over. Starboard, another cedar-lined hanging locker has shelves outboard and hanging storage inboard. There is shelf storage over both hanging lockers. HEAD (Port): Next aft of the V-berth seat to port is a private Headwith a solid cherry door. The molded head sole has nonskid molded in.
A varnished cherry pantry locker with louvered doors and shelves separates the galley from the V-berth area to the starboard side. The offset forward sink is integrally mounted in the Corian countertop. Next to the sink is a countertop accessed waste bin. Next aft is the built in stove-top with the microwave/convection oven built in behind a cherry door beneath the stove.A flatware storage locker is built in on the aft bulkhead, the refrigeration locker is top-accessed through the countertop. There is stowage in the pantry, outboard and under the sink, outboard the stove, and over outboard the refrigeration. A 12-volt light is mounted under the locker over the refrigeration and a halogen lighting is over the galley area. Galley amenities include:

Muir electric windlass pkg: Flush foredeck anchor locker houses a Muir electric windlass with Delta 35# anchor + 50” galvanized chain & 200’ x 5/8” anchor rode and stainless steel bow roller. The windlass can be operated from the helm station or a handheld remote at anchor locker.
