Two 32 kW Kohler generators provide electricity to the various systems aboard. The owner has added a seamless power transfer system that in the event of loss of shore power automatically switches power from dock to inverter and intermittent genset operation while reducing electrical load from chillers at the same time.
Vessel has a stand up engine/machinery space that has 7' headroom. Engines are twin big-block John Deere 6125AFM, Tier Two Powertech diesels, with a continuous duty rating of 341 HP each and a max RPM of 1800.Engines are keel cooled eliminating the salt water heat ex-changer system. The hull features specially shaped prop keels, with boxed bar skegs protecting the propellers and securing the rudders. The vessel can sit upright on three keels if ocean levels drop that low for some reason. Hull is constructed of 3/8″ steel plate on the bottom and the keel and stem are 1.5″ by 10″ plate. The house is 1/4″ aluminum plate and the yacht conforms to both ABS and ABYC standards. The hull is finely faired and finished in Awlgrip®.
