While known around North America for high speed aluminum patrol and fire boats, MetalCraft Marine of Kingston, Ontario, also built this rare custom hull, Sylphide, a truly unique vessel.
The original owner had the vessel built by the yard based on an Avard Fuller design, complete with engine and drive train and steering, launched in 1985 without a finished interior. The original interior completed by 1989, did not measure up to the current owners specifications, so after purchasing her in 1995, the interior was gutted and redone. The functional new layout is ideal for extended coastal cruising, rivers, lakes and canals.
In 2017 she was entered in the Late Classic Cruiser class at the Clayton Boat Show, where she won both best in class and best in show.
Sylphide is a one of kind vessel, built to the highest standards. She is ideal for the discerning cruiser who loves the lines of a classic cruising vessel, and the build quality of a commercial vessel.
